Setting up web services on Solaris (-)

    September 19th, 2007 | Tags:

My first time setting up services on Solaris. I’ve always been a end user of Solaris for my academic stuffs. Just a simple user who just know how to check my print jobs and simple file manipulation.

Had the chance to administrate a Solaris VPS! It is rather different from the CentOS/Ubuntu/Slackware/Fedora Core/RedHat I had toyed with. Spent quite sometime trying to set up services on the Solaris. Creating those manifest file for svcadm. But it is rather cool! I pkill the process and it start it up almost immediately.

Hope I didn’t screw up the server.
