The mldonkey scans a particular directory every fixed interval to add .torrent files to download. Run thru the settings and try disabling the scanning to see if it works.

I’ve noticed mldonkey does not let the disks to spin down even if there are no active torrents.

Is there anything I can do for this other than kill core after download completed?

For segmentation faults. You have to remove the directory /mnt/HD_a2/mldonkey . That is the only solution I have currently.

Perhaps you can check the load of the DNS-323. Otherwise you could try to limit the amount of files you download. MLDonkey is pretty stressful on the CPU.

hi, I added a new HD in my 323, and re-format both 2 HD to RAID 1, of course, before I added the HD, I backed up all files to another place. After the format was done, I moved all previours files to 323. But the mldonkey is not running. I tried to manual re-start it, but still fail; here is the result:

Hi,

Just installed mldonkey, managed to search using edonkey for some files, managed to put in some torrents to download. However, after the initial few minutes, there is no further download/upload activity. Is there anyway I can troubleshoot this? Or is there anything I can do to test to make sure that my installation is working?

Hi Shadowandy,
I was running 2.9.2 and downloaded and extracted 2.9.3 per your instructions. As the files extracted and over write the 2.9.2 files, it stalled because the “torrents” directory can’t be accessed. Any ideas?
