    Green laser pointer for Astronomy

I find these class IIIa (<5mW) laser pointers fun as you can see the beam. Making it easy for others to locate what you are pointing at in the night. Green looks pretty cool. Are there red or orange ones?

I have always been fascinated by laser pointers when I was a primary school student? My teachers pointed to text or graphics on the visuals with the help of them. Some “older generation” use the manual pointer. But all of these laser points merely appear as a dot. Wonder if these green lasers are suitable for daily usage.

For those more technically inclined, perhaps you might wish to DIY your own handheld burning laser or even this laser flashlight hack. Anyway with a spoilt dvd-writer?

Hopefully no one took a photo and claim it as a unidentified and spooky incident, LOL…

    2. Got this when I was in Bangkok! I guess they are available at most shops? The red one in the links are cool! Somebody did one with blueray laser diodes.
