What we can possibly do is resize both partitions - sda2 to the smallest and expand sda4. Use fun_plug to unmount sda2 and mount sda4 as /mnt/HD_a2. This way your Volume_1 would be the ext2 partition instead. Let me try to get a harddisk to try it out. Richard,
