A new dual band wireless N toy from D-Link – DIR-855! It is supposed to pack more punch than my current D-Link DIR-655. Didn’t really have the time to do the test yet so it is time for pictures of the unwrapping process!

Looks nice.
Unfortunately, it looks like this unit can Not be flashed like the DIR-300/400.

If you are using dd-wrt to add new functionality then you need to access what functions you need.
However, if you are using dd-wrt to boost performance. Then you wouldn’t need dd-wrt on this device because it performs much better than units flashed with dd-wrt.
