Oreo cheesecake? (2)

Tried making oreo cheesecake this afternoon with my sis. We baked brownies before but it is the first time making cheesecake. Heard from a friend before that cheesecake doesn’t need any baking, just mix everything up and put it into the fridge to set. However, my sister’s recipe is a bit weird – it needs baking.

Decided we wanted to bake after lunch. Went down to NTUC to grab the necessary ingredients – cream cheese, oreo cookies, sugar, vanilla essence.

After close to two hours without any decent tools (I whipped everything up using a metal fork, yes fork!), we got the cheesecake ready for the microwave. Set the microwave to conventional bake (160 degrees celsius) and after waiting for an hour. The cheesecake is ready! Wait for it to cool, cut it before sending it to the fridge.

This is how the cheesecake looks like after coming out of the microwave. A bit brown on the sides but then it looks great after slicing it up!

Yummy cheesecake. Well the cake is inverted. Popped it out of the tray for cutting. Yummy cheesecake! Should have made it a day earlier so that buddies could try it out.
