Organizing your schedule with Google Calendar! (2)

    June 24th, 2009

Have been using Google Calendar to schedule meetings and jot down deadlines for work and for my personal life since university days.

Back then, I have to use a host of services to ensure the calendar on my devices (desktop, laptop, handphone, ipod touch, etc). Synchronizing calendar back then can be a pain. Good thing is that now Google supports Exchange Sync! So information can be pushed down! Woo hoo!

My rainlendar still goes through GCalDaemon but my symbian phone and ipod touch are now synchronizing through ActiveExchange! iPod Touch natively supports it! On my Nokia E51, I just have to install mailforexchange from Nokia! Yipee!

Google. Please don’t die on me.

    1. Why didn’t you use Exchange as your PIM and calendar during school days? I still don’t find either of them as flexible and compatible with all my PIM needs/devices. I remember Google Contacts didn’t even have the birthday field until a few months back. I’m thinking of switching from Exchange to full on Google services though… Outlook is lag hell especially when not VPNing into school…

    2. ykk,

During school days I am not really a fan of VPN. Did most of my stuffs by ssh tunnel.

Google services are free so live with it. They are improving!
