You might want to change the strap to some tougher alternatives. The strap that comes with it looks a little flimsy and mine is slightly worn after using it for a while. My camera pouch arrived after approximately 9 days! As mentioned earlier, found this camera pouch on budgetgadgets.com. The quality is better than I had expected.
The pieces are nicely stitched together. The insides are lined with a layer of softer leather to protect the camera from shock. The screw at the bottom holds the Canon S90 to the pouch. Well, with this pouch,you need to remove the pouch base before you can change your battery or memory card. But who cares? Being able to sling your camera while touring around is more important. Time to sling my S90 around to take pictures!

Went for a short Taiwan trip with Serene from 24th to 30th April 2010. Originally had planned to go with buddies but they aren’t free during that period of time. So we just went ahead and plan our first trip to Taiwan.
We toured around Taipei, Wulai and Keelung on our own. Occasionally taking cab rides to go hard to reach areas like Yehliu. Selected one picture from each day of our trip. Others are in our facebook.

Found another gadget website that offers free shipping like dealextreme and suntekstore. Got to know of budgetgadgets recently. Ordered a cool camera pouch for my Canon S90. Can’t comment on the delivery speed but I hope they are faster than dealextreme. Had some issues with dx recently.

CHDK (Canon Hack Development Kit) has finally been ported to the Canon S90! CHDK extends the functionality of the camera like allowing you to control your camera remotely through USB! Not only that, you can create scripts to invoke the camera functionality.
One of the cool feature. It overwrites the shutter speed! The Canon S90 allows exposure time up to 15 secs. With CHDK, you can open the shutter way longer than 15 seconds! No bulb mode though. Time to get ND filters!
Installation is easy, download the BOOTDISK.BIN and PS.FI2 for your camera and firmware version. Load it into the root of your SD Card.
To start CHDK, start the camera in Playback mode. Hit the menu button and select update firmware. Confirm the update and the camera will reboot with the CHDK firmware.
Don’t worry, it doesn’t update the camera firmware, it simply loads the CHDK off the SD Card. CHDK is unloaded when your camera is rebooted.
