Red packet lantern made by Serene’s mummy

Happy Chinese New Year to you and your family members! Went house visiting the past few days and relatives popped the standard questions – “do you have girlfriend?”, “is your girlfriend the same one? The vegetarian one is it?”, “when are you all getting married?”. Seems like one would get these questions once they reach their twenties.

House visiting aside. Mummy decorated the house this time round! She bought quite a fair bit of deco cos it is cheap! $1 a piece according to her. She bought like 6 to 8 pieces? Serene’s mummy made 2 nice lanterns out of red packets for us! Very cool right? Got to learn from her one of these days/next year.

Time to pack my bag for work tomorrow.
