I’ve a couple of stand fans for circulating air and cooling the rooms down but seems like the roomba 560 so not really like them.

The roomba 560 will climb onto the base of these stand fans and occasionally get stuck there, making that the last destination of its cleaning cycle.

So how can I avoid such situations? After some thoughts, I reckoned that I could:

1. Replace all my standing fans with wall mounted fans; or
2. Have a high tech solution of carefully positioned virtual wall(s) to exclude the fan area; or
3. Live without the fans and use air-con instead; or
4. Make the fan base difficult / impossible to mount

Well, seems like the first three are either too expensive or challenging so I would go for option 4 instead!

The iRobot Roomba 560 can be controlled by IR (infrared)! iRobot have the iRobot 80401 Wireless Command Center for Roomba 500 Series. But if you have a PSP lying around, you can control the Roomba 560 using it!

The iRobot Roomba 560 was delivered yesterday! Bought it online with AeroVac bin. Let it run around in the living room for a while and it picked up Max’s furs! The improved suction of the AeroVac bin kept the brushes clean.
