Just sat for my 4th paper, IS Consulting. Well, seems like the IS Consulting paper is pretty ambiguous. Don’t really understand what the lecturer is driving at and don’t know what answer to write down too. Seems like he is testing us on strategy making and recommendations while he teaches us how to be like a consultant during the course!
Pray hard that I will do well for this module. Last module is on 6th of May before I leave for Bangkok for a short little trip on the 8th.
Will be revamping this site to another blog engine. Any recommendations?
Statistics and Probability examination this morning and followed shortly by IT Auditing examination = tired brain.
Shouldn’t have taken this module combination. Two examinations after one another is pretty tiring. I will be expecting two papers on the 30th again. This time round it would be one in the morning and one in the evening. Hope I don’t fall asleep by then.
It is almost the end of the semester where everybody is rushing for deadlines, churning out reports and presentation slides. Well so am I. Been busy these few weeks and seldom have the time to do my hobby (cracking open 3rd party capable devices). Not to mention compiling of stuffs or laying my hands on my linux machine.
All will be over by 6th May. I hope I will be able to do my personal stuffs every now and then. I want to compile transmission 1.11. But I don’t have the time to.
I actually took this certification test under my school’s arrangement with IBM on the 18th of December 2007.
Well, it is a easy certification exam and basically there is one introductory lesson from IBM guys who talked a lot of DB2 technologies and database terminologies (all those type of spaces, instances, type of locks, etc). After that, it is up to us to read up from the materials provided and attempt the certification exam.
The best part of the deal is that, the certification is free! Yes. It is free from them. I guess it is just a S$95 certification but they are providing it free to approximately 40 students from my faculty. It sounds a lot of money to me. The sweetest part of it is that they promised a ThinkPad for the top scorer of this certification. Result? Study like no tomorrow!
I managed to score 100% for this certification exam despite not taking CS2102. One of the other SAP trainer also got 100% for this certification. I guess in total, there are a handful of us scoring 100%.
Hopefully, we will still get a ThinkPad from them. But after close to a month of not receiving any news from them. I guess we will not be receiving them after all.
My December holiday is ending and another semester is going to start. Seems like I didn’t really made use of my holiday. Didn’t really get to go out, didn’t really complete my gundam backlog, didn’t make any money. Guess it is a long list of did nots. Last on the did not list is didn’t recover from my cough.
So what did I do this December holiday?
- Taught another batch of fine NUS students (SAP BPERP course). Didn’t really go back to see them because of the cough.
- Had a picnic on one of the weekends.
- Caught several movies.
- Met up with buddies.
- Completed a couple of SD Gundams.
- Tried painting BB Gundam.
- Tried using Mr. Clear Semi-Gloss spray.
- Sent my IBM laptop in for servicing.
- Cleaned up my messy harddisks.
- Baked pizza
- Baked bread
- Baked brownies
- Made donuts
Ah, I didn’t do anything much and holiday is ending! Got to find some part time work soon, would be eating grass for the coming semester.
