HTC Touch2 Non Camera Review – Finally a smart(er) non-cam phone? (-)

    September 13th, 2010 | Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , | Posted in Life, Reviews

If you work in an organization with no image capturing equipment policy, look here! The HTC Touch2 non-camera phone was released recently, adding itself to the list of non-camera smart phones (Nokia E51, Sony Ericsson G700, HTC Snap, Gigabyte Gsmart S1200, etc).

But is the HTC Touch2 non-camera the phone you are waiting for? Or you are hoping that Apple releases iPhone non-camera? Well, while you are waiting for Steve Job to announce it (if iPhone non-camera even exists) and you don’t mind a WinMo (Windows Mobile) phone, probably you can give the HTC Touch2 a try.

Bought the HTC Touch2 non-camera just a while back and been using it for perhaps 2 weeks or so. Let me jot down my review of this phone.

    Key Features

    • 2.8″ 65K-color QVGA display

    • Standard 3.5mm audio jack
    • Opera 9.5 web browser
    • YouTube client, Facebook integration

    Some not so good points

    • Low-end display resolution
    • No accelerometer sensor
    • Poor screen sunlight legibility
    • No handwriting recognition

    Wine Connection (-)

    June 1st, 2009 | Tags: , , | Posted in Life

Went down to Wine Connection at Robertson Walk last Thursday with colleagues! I know I blogged too late but hey! It is better late than never.

Heard about wine connection but never been down there before. It is a place that serves food, wine and beer. For a small fee on top of the price of the wine or beer, you can drink it there! Had quite a few bottles of drinks that night – mixtures of reds and whites. I finally found what I like – sweet white wine. Dessert wines taste nice too but I prefer the sweet white wine (Casa Sant’orsola Moscato D’asti). Besides the great wine, the company is great too.

Had an enjoyable evening that night. The only bad thing is that there’s work the next day. Seems like everybody managed to get to work in time. Impressed!

Had not been blogging recently (-)

Been toying with my iPod Touch! Didn’t do much stuffs recently too. Did the usual shopping. Went over to Provence at Holland Village to buy some tasty breads and pastry though. Yummy!

Weekdays are pretty much the standard routine – go to work, off from work, home/shopping. But try to learn different stuffs every day though.

Spent the day at home today. Serene was out the whole night for the “shao mu” thing. Andy caught a few episodes of Sarah Conner, 24 on the iPod Touch. Watched Bolt and a few movies on the TV (iPod Touch hooked up to it). Finally cleared some backlogs of movies!

    DFPS course at EIS (4)

    March 12th, 2009 | Tags: | Posted in Life

Attended the course with my colleagues at Encore Integrated Solutions. Pretty expensive course in my opinion. S$3600 per pax for the 3 days course. The SAP lady, Cynthia, provided us with good snacks to keep us awake during the course!

    Snickers, Loackers, Zip, M&Ms

At the end of the course. Each of us got a certificate stating that we successfully completed DFPS_60! Haha. Lucky no exam ah

Yet another week at work (-)

    February 21st, 2009 | Tags: | Posted in Life

    This week has been eventful.

Tuesday – Participated in the C2IT Tech Sharing Day at DSO (Science Park) as a booth exhibitor for SAP Business Process Activity Monitoring (BPAM). Learnt quite a fair bit of stuffs from senior. Dropped by NUS to have a chat with Wenwei and Kevin Neo.

Thursday & Friday – Went for my induction course back at DTTA. Ended Friday with a face-to-face discussion with supervisors to discuss the learning and work plan for the coming FY. Sounds interesting! Why? Because I am going to get trained abit in the technical aspect, on top of my functional role.

    Seafood buffet at Fullerton! (4)

    February 6th, 2009 | Tags: | Posted in Life

Boss Kwee Boon and Alex treated the group of us (20+) to seafood buffet at Fullerton after work! It’s the first time I been to such buffet! Nice atmosphere, funny group of people, acceptable food = quite fun.

To top it up, Alex order a few bottles of whites. If I am not wrong, two of them are from Cloudy Bay Vineywards and best of all they are Sauvignon Blanc! Why is it so? Because Cloudy Bay Vineywards are known for their Sauvignon Blanc. Haha! It’s pretty nice. Wonder how much does a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc from Cloudy Bay cost outside?

The dinner started at 7.30pm and ended close to 11pm. Hitched a ride back to the west in Jeremy’s Integra. Gotta sleep. There’s activities tomorrow at work.
