Recee Commander Course

As my brigade is the largest in strength for the course, our encik attached two 3SG and a PTE as course staff supporting the course as CQ (Company Quartermaster), Signal and Optics I/C and ASM (Armskoteman). 3SG Weixiong as QM and PTE Fabian as ASM while me as the Signal and Optics I/C.

Well, see the things til head big big as each unit bring their equipments and most of them have serials on it. So accepting the stores is quite a tedious process as need to check this check that. Check whether the serial number matches and see whether the equipments provided are in servicable condition.

Nevermind that. The ASM just care about the armskote and doesn’t help the store when he is done with his stuffs. As encik told us that armskote is pretty straight forward and once done he will come over and assist us in the store. But everytime we ask him do things, he will complain that we are bullying him and asking him do stuffs, and he wanted to complain to encik. *Dang* Still dare to say “You think encik will belief you all or me?”. *Dang* Nevermind that, while doing things he will come and disturb us by poking us with finger and other crap stuffs that should be done during free time. Seems like he doesn’t have abit of respect for 3SG at all.

On the first day he somehow earned him half day off (he can go off at 1500hrs) from the course warrant. And somehow or rather he managed to coax the course warrant til he can book in at 1200hrs the next day. Nevermind that, as Armskote requires a Specialist so I am the overall I/C for the armskote. Just have to take care of the smooth running while my main job scope is managed the Signal and Optics equipment. Seems like the ASM is unaware of that and keep wanting to push the armskote stuffs to me and assigning me to do stuffs like preparing the armskote books while he prepares to book out at 1500hrs. Well nevermind, I help him do that so that he can book out.

Next day, things start to get busier abit and he booked in at 12 plus and still continue to distube us. Still assigning me to do stuffs and he still hides inside the Armskote playing his N-Gage while we are roping in the medics (2 of them) and Drivers (4 of them) to help us with the stuffs (office-boy-job-which-course-warrant-ask-us-to-do-while-the-instructors-can-play-with-computer-games-and-chess-in-the-air-con-office).

Finally both of us cannot take it and I asked the ASM over to talk. Tell him of whether he knows his job scope and he unbelievably he knows his jobscope. Finish doing his armskote and help out in the store. That day prepare the signal stores and then both the specs book out at 2230hrs. Well I need to come home and use computer and print out stuffs needed for the store (did I say I cant use the PC and printer in the office?). Crap, office job bring home do. W-T-F!! Do the things til quite late then sleep, and wake up at 0530 and daddy fetched me to camp so that I can continue to do stuffs.

Thanks to the stuffs (T-Loan Vouchers) I prepared, the drawing out of stores are faster. The RCC trainess went out for outfield and waited for them to return in the evening.

While collecting some stores, suddenly one of my brigade trainees ask me,

“Sergeant, Fabian ask you whether you can take over the armskote now”

“Why?”

“Oh, Fabian says he wants to book out.”

W-T-F again. He has yet to complete his job and he is just yearning to book out. And inorder to book out he want to push the armskote to me while I am still collecting the stores. Crap. Immediately I gave a straight no. And continue to do my stuffs and finish it while people are still returning arms. Went over to instruct the trainess to oil their weapons and squeeze their triggers which the ASM did not ensure. *Dang*

Next left with Weixiong and storeman to eat our dinner then book out while the ASM is still waiting for the School Duty Officer to come and close the armskote.

Argg.. Now typing a new set of T-Loan vouchers.
