Singapore BitTorrent users

New Law against internet download piracy

By this year-end, the law where home users will be either fined up to 20000 or jailed will be legally enforced…

Straits Times also mentioned that it would be considered a crime if downloading is done on a commercial scale. Would it rule out occasional BT user? Does it mean the end of Peer-to-Peer networks in Singapore? Nonetheless, I hope downloading unliscensed anime wont be considered a crime.

Talking about BitTorrent, I personally feel that most Singaporeans are leechers. All keep complaining in local forums that their downloads are slow and and finding ways to cap their upload speeds. Boo! Damm leechers who only download and don’t share. Just imagine the seeds for your torrent have the same thinking. How do you expect the file to have high download speed? If you want to counter this by saying, later RIAA or other copyright sue me how? For goodness sake, if you are afraid of being sued, don’t support piracy. Go save up and spend some cash on buying tickets to catch the show in the cinemas, buy that piece of dvd or soundtrack. I really cant stand damm leechers ranting that their BT download is slow like fcuk. It would be best if trackers keep a ratio of the downloads and uploads of the user. He registers an account on the tracker. If he has a unhealthy upload and download ratio he has to wait for sometime maybe 48hrs before he can download the file while others who have healthy ratios can download immediately. Those critically unhealthy ratios will then be removed from the system and start all over again.

Enough of my rants. Time to surf for DVD-R medias. Any cheap and good one to recommend? Using Ritek05 and Ritek04 here.
