62nd Basic Sniper Course

Went to PLC recently and met some Sniper Instructors, graduated from the same batch as me, 61st Basic Sniper Course.

Asked about the recent 62nd course and what they did. Seems like they are reluctant to comment. Was shocked to find out that the best shot scored 108/150 and more than 70% of the course failed the STM (Sniper Marksmanship). The trainee’s cohesion are bad. Seniors not helping the juniors out. Throwing checkpoints away so that others cannot find it. From the way I perceive it, it seems like 62nd BSC was a total flop.

Hope that 63rd BSC will have the standard as before.

I remembered a course instructor once told me that, “I can make the whole course very easy and let all of you all pass. But will there be any value in your sniper badge? Others will not look up to you. By enforcing high standards in the course, I am adding value to your badge.”
