Scare of the day

Get to know about the cors website today from JP. She mentioned that can check up the modules that I want to take as well as checking the prerequisites of the modules I am going to take up. Realised that I cant take all my essential modules in one go.

Oh ya, about the advance placement test, I left out Introductory Mathematics (MA1301) as I have almost cleanly forgotten about maths in my 2 years in army. The most we used is just plus and minus. Since it is stated in the snail mail that I only need to take that if I were to take modules from the Maths Department. I can also the module as one of the electives.

While browsing thru the cors website, one of my essential CS1101 (Programming Methology) requires MA1301 or A-Level Mathematics as a prerequisite! I am a poly student! So easy just leave that essential out and select the rest. Then here comes the scare, all computing modules need CS1101 as prerequisite. Damm, first thing that came into my mind is, “I am fcuked, am going to study Introductory Mathematics for the whole of my first semester”. Panic, panic. I don’t have any friends studying in this course. Gave the admission office a call, lunch time. Negative thoughts flooded my mind. Arg. Next option, mail them! Lunch time too, they don’t reply to emails.

Finally got thru the phone at 1400hrs. The guys told me that since it is a prerequisite I must take MA1301. *Fainted*. Got pointed to another person. Called the person at Comp side. Voicemail. Another wait. *Sigh*

Recalled and it finally got thru. A helpful Miss Nur Arifah answered the call. Guess I confused her too or my mind cannot understand what she is saying at the point of time. After 15 or more minutes of conversation. That prerequisite only applies for non-computing student. *Phew*

Another assuring email come from Miss Toh Mui Kiat mentioning that thet prerequisite is waived for computing students.
