Hong Kong – Day 5

Today was a unplanned day. Initially wanted to go over to Macau for a one day tour but we didn’t look up on how to travel within Macau so gave it a miss. Ended up having one day to do some last minute shopping.

Went over to Tsui Hwa outlet at Causeway Bay for breakfast. Took the chance to visit the shopping malls around that area (Times Square). Just another posh looking shopping centre. Skipped the area after a while and went to Yau Ma Tei area to shop around those smaller shopping centres that we missed (In’s House, computer centre). The computer centre here is much more like Sim Lim Square. Bought some cheap PSP accessories – PSP pouch and strap for like SGD$4.

Since we are in the area, we went over to London Chinese Restaurant for dim sum! Was recommended by the counter staff of the hotel we are staying in. The food at London Chinese Restaurant is fabulous and cheap. Really very Hong Kong style, those staffs pushing dim sum trolley around the floor and you would just stop them to ask for another serving of char siew bun or other dim sum. Had around 6 to 7 servings of dim sum and guess how much is it? It’s only SGD$14. Oh my god. It is real cheap!

We shopped at Langham Place as well. Made use of the internet access at Pacific Coffee Club to check in online for our next day flight. Chose our seats for the flight and rested our legs at the Coffee Club before going off to avenue of lights to look at the palm prints of celebrities and admire the light show. The light show is in the Guiness Book of Records! Google it!

So what’s next? A nice and sumptuous meal at one of the outlets at Ashley Road.
