Stupid Tengins throttles Internet

I know that Tengins throttling Internet connection is not new. Yes, I do bittorrent. Who doesn’t? Especially I am testing MLDonkey (for DNS-323) and doing stress test on routers from time to time. I tried downloading Ubuntu 7.10 and it is terribly slow at 10kBps. Something is definitely wrong, it just don’t go up more on my 3Mbps line.

Thought Tengins is back at its old trick of throttling by IP, I restarted my Internet connection. It is still as slow.

Finally attempted something which I least expected. I change the port my bittorrent client runs on. The next thing I know, my speed went up to 300+kBps.
