Wan Chai Hong Kong Tea Room (湾仔香港奶茶店) bad service at IMM

Had lunch with my colleagues at 灣仔 (IMM) just now. Just couldn’t believe how terrible their customer service was. Baked rice typically takes around 20 minutes to prepare and porridge would take less than 10 minutes. Guess how much does it take to deliver my fish porridge? 40 to 50 minutes! By the time they deliver, my colleagues have already finished their food long ago.

So what really happened? They totally forgot my orders. During the waiting period, at around the 20 minutes mark, I went to enquire why the porridge took such a long time. They discussed among themselves and came to my table a couple of minutes later to verify my orders (on the receipt, yes we pay first before we get the food). She then went back to the counter area.

After waiting for another 10 to 20 minutes, the porridge has yet to arrive. Went to the counter and enquired again. They have yet to process the order. Terrible service from Wan Chai Hong Kong Tea Room (湾仔香港奶茶店) again. They then reluctantly told the kitchen crew to prepare the fish porridge. Terrible service from Wan Chai (湾仔香港奶茶店) again. They made it as if it was my fault. Yes, indeed it was my fault. My fault of choosing to have my lunch at Wan Chai (湾仔香港奶茶店) which has terrible service.

After another 10 minutes, my porridge finally arrived. The service crew don’t even apologise for the incident. I am amazed by the terrible service of Wan Chai (灣仔). It is simply another restaurant who has forgotten the basics of business – “You keep your customer happy, they come back and you make more money.”

Thumbs down for Wan Chai Hong Kong Tea Room (湾仔香港奶茶店).
