Server (devil) down
My old and trusty server “Devil” decided to give up on me after serving for around 6 to 7 years. Woke up today to discover the server has hung. Did a forced reboot and it fails to even power on. Guess I will use other equipments to take over the role of the server.
Devil is quite a robust system even though it is only running on dual CPU (PII Celeron 300Mhz). Couldn’t get my hands on pentium pro chips else it would be faster. Pumped its ram to the maximum ABIT BP6 motherboard could allow (768MB).
Oh well, the print server function has been taken over by the wireless-G usb print server (DPR-1260). Seeding functions taken over by the DNS-323 and network backup crons taken over by the DNS-343. Need to set up tunnelling/vpn and squid on of the devices soon.
