hi andy! been a fan of your blog for quite some time already.

please pardon me if this question is too sensitive, you may choose not to answer it.

i am rather curious about the pay range for a nus soc 2nd upper and above degree… especially in today’s economic situation… will be graduating really soon!

thanks and all e best to your new job!

    soc junior,

It depends on your job and scope of work. The market could really change if you are graduating 6 months later. But don’t worry, there will always be demand for IT graduates (as mentioned by David) as long as you are not too picky.

    I see..

I do know that banks pay quite abit for SOC students with top honours.

I just want to be realistic though, trying to find what’s the market rate for IT sector so I know what to expect (and what to ask for..)

Could you give me a rough gauge generally for a consultant job?

    soc junior,

Not sure about consultant job. After all, there are a lot of fields with consultant roles and each of them pays differently and each batch/intake normally draws different salary and their contract normally advise them not to disclose their salary to even their colleagues.
