Just to let you know, I too had a problem with the A85’s sensor after a few years. It gave me pictures with red lines running through them. Turns out it’s a known product advisory and Canon is willing to repair them even out of warranty at no cost (other than shipping it to them). Not sure if that’ll be the same issue as yours, but it’s probably worth looking into. Though now that you have the S90, you may not even want to bother…
