Baseus GaN 65W Mini Quick Charge Travel Charger Review
USB-C is pretty much the de factor connector standard for charging mobile and computing devices these days. Quick charging protocols such as PD 3.0, QC 4+, QC 3.0, SCP, FCP, AFC, PE+, etc. are pretty much the norm. To concurrently charge multiple devices, I searched for a portable charger with at least two ports. That is when I found the Baseus GaN (Gallium nitride) 65W Mini Quick Charge Travel Charger at S$37.61 (after ShopBack’s cash back of S$2.77).

What is GaN?
Gallium Nitride, or GaN, is creating an innovative shift throughout the power electronics world. It is on the rise to replace silicon as the backbone of power switching technology with its better efficiency, performance and cost.
Hence, GaN devices are typically smaller than its silicon counterparts. Moving forward, we should expect more consumer devices advertising that they are using GaN.

Using the Baseus GaN 65W Mini Travel Charger
I replaced my Xiaomi/ZMI 45W USB-C power adapter with the Baseus GaN 65W Mini Travel Charger and it has been great so far. Charging definitely became faster.
One part that can be improved on is the connector. I should have waited out to see if Baseus will release one with Type-G (UK 3-pin). It is not that Type-C (EU 2-pin) are bad but the device tend to sag/slant when plugged in to a wall electrical socket.
Am I happy with the product? Definitely. So check out the Baseus GaN 65W Mini Quick Charge Travel Charger if you need a GaNFast charger.
P.S. It is a colloquial expression/word that GaN sounds similar to a word, gan, in my area’s dialect (i.e. Hokkien) and it pretty much means damn. So it is pretty damn fast or gan fast. If I could add, it is gan small as well.
