Logitech K380 Multi-Device Bluetooth Keyboard
Owning multiple smart devices is becoming a norm nowadays – smart phone, tablet and Android TV (stick). You would probably invest in a Bluetooth keyboard if you need to type a fair bit on the devices – finishing up a document on smart phone/ tablet, punching in the search string on the Android TV.
Instead of getting a Bluetooth keyboard each or pairing/unpairing each time, the Logitech K380 multi-device Bluetooth keyboard might be the answer. It can pair up to three (3) devices at a go and switch between them seamlessly. To top it off, it is a versatile and portable keyboard that works great at home, in the office and on the move. I got the Logitech K380 multi-device Bluetooth keyboard for S$28.39 on Logitech Official Store (Shopee) after discounts and coins offset.
Unboxing the Logitech K380 Multi-Device Bluetooth Keyboard

The Logitech K380 is available in several colours – rose, off-white, blue and graphite. I opted for graphite as stains from prolonged usage would be more obvious on lighter colours.
The contents of the package is straightforward:
- The Logitech K380 Multi-device Bluetooth Keyboard
- Quick setup instruction
- Informational leafet
One point to note is that the Logitech K380 comes included with two (2) AAA batteries.

The Front

The Logitech K380 is a low-profile keyboard and utilises membrane switches for the keys. The keys have enough travel and resistance for comfortable typing. Typing is also pretty quiet which are typical of such keys.
These keys at the bottom switches into the “special” keys for the different OSes (i.e. Start for Windows, Cmd for Mac) accordingly when you are connected to the device. It leaves the guess work out.
On the left edge is the on/off toggle switch. The yellow coloured keys are the easy-switch keys which allow you to easily switch between the connected Bluetooth device. It is simply hitting “1” to connect to the device #1, “2” to connect to device #2, etc based on your device pairing.
The Back

Flipping the Logitech K380 over reveals the battery compartment. It is powered by two (2) AAA batteries instead of an internal battery that is charged via USB. Logitech mentioned that it would last for about two (2) years of heavy use (8 hours per day, 5 days a week). Pretty impressive if it do last that long. If it does, I will be more concerned about battery leaking and damaging the device.
The Logitech K380 also does not come with “kickstand” to adjust the height/ tilt of the keyboard. It is not a cause for concern as the keyboard is already tilted at a slight angle and typing is comfortable on my wrists.
The non-slip feet does hold the Logitech K380 firmly on the table top unlike cheaper keyboards that slides whenever you hit any keys.
Conclusion
The Logitech K380 is an excellant portable keyboard for mobile devices and Android TV. It can be used with most-if-not-all Bluetooth devices. It is portable and easy to carry it around (if you need to). Otherwise, it is also a great compact keyboard to use at home or in office if you do not need a full sized one (with number pad). The multi-device pairing capability is a lifesaver if you are looking for a one-keyboard-to-rule-them-all (pun intended) solution like me.
