IRC, Galaxynet.Org , breeding ground of wannabes
Been IRC-ing for close to 5 years. Seen alot of wannabe. Previously held 400 access in #scripting before I quitted because of too much wannabes.
Practically everyday users come into the channel and ask if they can be a helper, they have practically little or no knowledge in mIRC scripting language. Most of the time they need senior ops to help them with their scripting. Perhaps they think that having a +#scripting or @#scripting in their /whois will make it impressive to other people who whois them.
Well, same in #hackers. Users cycle in and out of the channel asking stupid question like, “how to hack hotmail?”, “how to hack neopets?”. It is a channel to share knowledge, not to ask dumbfcuk questions. Of cos alot of wannabes come in hoping to get an +#hackers or @#hackers. Gave some of them even though they have no knowledge in anything. Just like Gangster, Saint and Artanis.
Gangster, is scared of even downloading patches from a particular crack site, don’t even know how to open a .nfo file until I pointed out to him, cannot even solve a windows XP system error until I pointed him to the article on microsoft website. Just some user who wanna decorate his whois and somebody who cant use resources to his advantage. Just hiding behind a BNC for behing afraid of being hacked.
Saint, cant even differentiate which file to download for use on a unix machine. There are 3 choices – tar.gz, exe and exe (ssl http download). Any newbie can easily recognise and download tar.gz format so that they can gunzip and tar -xvf later. Been asking for my help in the private and not channel main. Perhaps want to show other people the knowledge he got from me. People will regard him as elite not knowing that he has been asking for help from someone all the while. Also another one hiding being a BNC.
Artanis, an access begger. Someone who tried to be lame by whois-ing me and posting a private message.
[11:09:28] Session Ident: Artanis (Local) (Artanis@Thinking.about.u.1rc.us)
[11:09:28] (Artanis) ;O
[11:09:30] (Artanis) a hacker
[11:09:32] * Artanis shivers
[11:10:16] (Mentor) stop being lame
[11:11:52] (Mentor) so u are a wannabe?
[11:17:22] (Mentor) scv connection
[11:17:33] (Artanis) ya
[11:18:03] (Artanis) haiya
[11:18:06] (Artanis) i was just playing
[11:18:10] (Artanis) dont take it too hard
[11:18:11] (Artanis) -.-
After that he didn’t really dare to message me anymore cos he is still wondering how I get to know his connection behind his BNC.
There is another user who cant set up tcl properly on his bot. Have problem with understanding tcl and directory structures of unix. Wonder why his friend regard him as a hacker.
Ahhh…. wannabes.
Well, of cos you can attempt a hack on a line and expect an access control list to block you off. Also you can DDoS the line and expect the line to go down because the line is congested.
Anyway my favourite:
