APC 500VA BackUPS…

Seems like all the houses I move into are prone to electrical tripping during thunderstorms (not so scary, just lightning strikes). So saved up some moola and spent on getting 3 Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS), they basically regulate the output power to the devices attached in case of electrical spikes or browning. Spikes are sudden increase in electrical voltages while brownings are drop in electrical voltages. Of cos the most important thing is, it provides enough juices to the devices attached when a blackout occurs. Enough juices for me to shutdown the computer safely when the UPS is beeping, or if possible restore the house electrical supply before the UPS depletes its battery juices. Kewl eh?

Well just now switched off the power to the UPS for my little sister desktop and she was amazed by the thing supplying power to the computer and monitor. Taught her what to do when the device is beeping as well. Guess later going to simulate a backout scenario. To see if all the 3 UPS are working perfectly. 😀

Ah… I am broke. Anybody wants to treat me to some meals or sort. :D. Latte, Fish ‘n’ Chips, pasta, oven-baked rice… oops.
