my 1st computer
Judging from my IT competency level, alot of friends think that I was introduced to computers at a young age. I had friends who owned 286 systems running MS DOS and perhaps MS Windows 3.11.
My very first PC was a gift from my mum’s friend. A IPC Pentium I 133Mhz with 32MB EDO RAM running MS Windows 95. Sorry to disappoint you all out there, I don’t grow up using MS DOS and Windows 3.11 for Workgroups. The gift came near the end of my secondary 2 days. Oh man, it was cool. All the things I could do on the PC, typing word documents instead of tip tapping them on the typewriter (yes, but it was my bro’s). And playing with word art feature of microsoft office then. Oh, my PC crashed often as well. So the technician from IPC made frequent trips to my house.
Guess networking and securities caught my interests. Soon I was exploring TCP/IP and netbios stuffs during december holidays. Toyed with netbus (was then very new), subseven (one of the initial release), netbios ports from 135 to 139. Exploring of shares over the internet network. Learnt to bind / slipstream exe files into other files. Yes, binder programs (TOP v4 i think), and shrinking it down. Finding ways to change signatures of files so that antivirus wont detect them. Remotely uploading of backdoors to system, finding out remote target’s system time and using remote scheduling to execute files. Or thru then’s Internet Explorer activex flaws to execute softwares on target’s PC.
It was also then I came to know Daniel, Ricky and Ken. We formed up a small group to help IRC users solve computer problems, from virii infections to trojans where we portscanned and identify backdoors. Cracked backdoors passwords and unload them from the system. Testing of various infection methods, Daniel should remember Carl’s Mum is a Bitch. loL
A gift that jump started a series of events. Got me interested in IT and stuffs. Now pursuing my studies in IT field. Thanks uncle.
