Running fonz’s fun_plug (0.5) on DNS-313
Just like the DNS-323, you can extend the functionalities of the DNS-313 through the use of fonz’s fun_plug 0.5. As the main partition (/mnt/HD_a2) is in NTFS, it caused some problem with fun_plug. However, the second partition (/mnt/HD_a4) is not in NTFS and it can be used with fun_plug.
Required files
- fun_plug (from http://www.inreto.de/dns323/fun-plug/0.5/)
- fun_plug.tgz (from http://www.inreto.de/dns323/fun-plug/0.5/)
Setting it up
Place the required files (fun_plug, fun_plug.tgz) in Volume_1 of your DNS-313.
Modifying the fun_plug file
Open the fun_plug file using a suitable text editor (e.g. textpad).
Replace
FFP_PATH=/mnt/HD_a2/ffp
with
FFP_PATH=/mnt/HD_a4/ffp
Rebooting and logging in for the first time
After you have edited and save the fun_plug file. Reboot the device and wait for it to come online. Once DNS-313 is online, telnet to it. If it prompts you for username and password, use the following:
Username: root
Password: 11111
Linux 2.6.15 (DNS313) (0)
DNS313 login: root
Password:
root@DNS313:~#
Have fun with your DNS-313!
