Total Invested Capital | $68,016.42 |

Another year of investment has ended. The total invested capital increased from $59,634.82 to $68,016.42. This year, I was not actively investing and the increase is largely due to dollar cost averaging in Singapore Stocks and Bonds ETF.
All in all for Singapore market, I bought 1000 units of SPDR STI ETF (SGX:ES3), 265 units of Nikko AM STI ETF (SGX:G3B) and 3302 units of ABF SG Bond ETF (SGX:A35). The reason for the odd number units is because they were bought via POSB InvestSaver platform.
From London Stock Exchange, I picked up 4 units of iShares Core MSCI World UCITS ETF (LSE:IWDA) via Standard Chartered Bank’s Trading Platform. Stopped doing so after August as Standard Chartered Bank started charging a minimum fee for trading.
There is quite a bit of a market shake up from the recent BREXIT, US’s Presidential Election, interest rates changes, turmoils from the Oil & Gas industry, etc. Currently, my portfolio has an unrealised loss of $6,896.74.
The dividends increased slightly and as a result, the actual monthly dividends increased from $178.87 to $184.46.
Miscellaneous
I decided to start doing some donation with the dividends. Starting small with a target of $10 per month. Did some catch up for 2016 by donating to Metta Welfare Association in December 2016.
Conclusion
This sums up my investments in 2016. With the market going downwards, I shall buck up and pick up more ETF along the way and hope to see some capital gain in years to come.
