I bought the Sony WF-1000XM3 Truely Wireless Earphones last month and have almost been using it daily during commute. The Sony WF-1000XM3 is great but I find the included tips (both silicone and foam) lack-lustre in areas of fitting and isolation. As Comply does not have a specific recommended foam tip model for the Sony WF-1000XM3, I decided to try my luck with their SmartCore series. I am glad to say that the Sony WF-1000XM3 and Comply SmartCore series are compatible. I got 3-pack off Lazada for S$24.00.

Despite the lack of support for aptX or Sony’s own LDAC, I still decided to get it for its portability. The Sony WF-1000XM3 true wireless earphones retails for S$349.00.

StarHub Giga! after a month (almost)

Giga! is an independent sub-brand by StarHub offering SIM-only, no-contract mobile plan. It operate on StarHub’s mobile network but have its own customer base and all digital platform (for customer interactions). I signed up for the Giga! free one month trial and here are my thoughts.

Xiaomi 45W USB-C Power Adapter Review

USB-C is fast becoming the de facto connector standard for charging mobile and computing devices. My Microsoft Surface Go uses it, OnePlus 6 uses it, Apple MacBook Pro uses it, Nintendo Switch uses it. Hence, getting a good USB-C power adapter or charger seems to be the wisest move. Chanced upon the Xiaomi 45W USB-C power adapter and got it for S$24.47. Considering that the Apple 30W USB-C adapter sells for S$65, the Xiaomi USB-C adapter is a steal.

Convenient Travel with SimplyGo

SimplyGo enables commuters to use their credit or debit cards with contactless function for fare payments. Aside from using the physical card itself, one can pay using NFC-enabled device with Google Pay, Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, etc. if the card is linked to the device. I been paying my fares using Samsung Pay via my Samsung Galaxy Active watch ever since getting it. Mixed feelings so far.

Microsoft Surface Go review

The Surface Go is Microsoft’s latest tablet. In fact, it a tablet and mini laptop rolled into one. Just the right timing to replace my Surface Pro 4 as the battery drain issue worsened. I bought the 128GB / 8GB RAM configuration with burgundy type cover and pen for S$929 from Lazada Singapore.

Protecting Galaxy Watch Active with IQ Shield

The Samsung Galaxy Watch Active smartwatch’s screen is made of Corning Gorilla Glass with curved edges. The usual 5D 9H glass or PET screen protectors will not protect the screen well so I bought the IQ Shield screen protector for Galaxy Watch Active as it contours well to curved surfaces.
