H96-P DLP Android Pocket Projector Review

Just a few days back, I was looking around for a pocket projector to cast my movies or shows onto the ceiling of my bedroom (because I don’t have a television in the bedroom). I settled on the H96-P ultra-portable DLP projector. The good thing about it is that it runs Android and thus new apps or contents can be easily added. I managed to get it on GearBest for less than US$200. At this price point, I think the H96-P could easily be the best value for money portable DLP projector.

Looking around for Portable Projectors

I been wondering if there are people who projects shows (or movies) onto their ceiling? Imagine resting on the bed and looking at the ceiling for shows or movies. It sounds pretty comfortable compared to having television at the end of the bed.

In my case, adding a television seems impossible as the wall opposite the bed is like 2 to 3 metres away. Hence, a portable projector that can be easily powered by power bank makes a lot of more sense.

The Samsung’s newly released T5 is a compact and lightweight portable SSD! It is about the size of a stack of credit cards. Don’t be fooled by its small size, its capacity ranges from 250GB to 2TB. The thing I like about flash storages is that they are hardy enough to survive a lot more knocks than regular spinning hard disk drives. Not only that, flash storages have great throughput too.

I backed the Kickstarter project on 12th July 2017 (backer #3606) for a pair of Ticwatch E at US$245. It was slated for delivery in October 2017 but it was only delivered to me on 25th November 2017 after some delay.

I bought the Amazon Echo (1st Generation) just awhile back before they (Amazon) announced a whole family of new products to the Echo family.
