Cubot X18 Plus Review – Good budget phone with decent specs

For those who are unfamiliar with the brand Cubot, they are a Chinese smartphone manufacturer based in Shenzhen and they launched a number of budget smartphones. Where can you possibly find a Android smartphone with a 6-inch FHD+ display, dual 20MP+2MP rear cameras, 4000 mAh battery and 64GB storage for US$130? Apparently Cubot has it – the Cubot X18 Plus. My First 13-inch MacBook Pro with Touch Bar

My first Mac is the iMac 27-inch (mid-2011) and my experience has been awesome! It was a refreshing change from Microsoft Windows. The iMac, back then, also allows for a fair bit of customisation (i.e. adding SSD, boosting up to 32GB RAM). It is actually still serving me well now. However, for something that is more portable, I decided to go for a 13-inch MacBook Pro with Touch Bar in Space Grey. My first five minutes of using the MacBook Pro? The macOS High Sierra is a lot smoother on this new piece of hardware compared to my aging iMac.

H96-P DLP Android Pocket Projector Review

Just a few days back, I was looking around for a pocket projector to cast my movies or shows onto the ceiling of my bedroom (because I don’t have a television in the bedroom). The thing I like about flash storages is that they are hardy enough to survive a lot more knocks than regular spinning hard disk drives. Not only that, flash storages have great throughput too.

Mobvoi, a Chinese startup, released their next generation of Ticwatch series – Ticwatch S&E. It is available in two variants – Sports (Ticwatch S) and Express (Ticwatch E). I backed the Kickstarter project on 12th July 2017 (backer #3606) for a pair of Ticwatch E at US$245. It was slated for delivery in October 2017 but it was only delivered to me on 25th November 2017 after some delay.

Amazon Lightsail Review – The user-friendly VPS for almost anything

I started searching around for web-hosting solutions after my current web host, Oryon Networks, informed me that they are no longer offering shared web hosting services. I am out of touch with current web hosting offerings and the research took a while. I looked at shared web hosting packages and virtual private server (VPS) packages from DigitalOcean, Linode and Amazon Lightsail. I decided to test drive Amazon Lightsail to host my current blog. That is, www.shadowandy.net.
